Terms of use
Last updated 5 September 2026
By publishing a demo on novrl you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What novrl is
novrl is a free tool that hosts screenshots and short text and presents them as a clickable walkthrough at a public URL. It is provided as it is, with no service level promise, no uptime guarantee and no support commitment.
2. You must own what you upload
You confirm that you own the rights to every screenshot and every piece of text you upload, or that you have permission from the rights holder to publish it here. You keep ownership of your content. You grant novrl the limited licence it needs to store your content, serve it to visitors through a content delivery network, and display it in the viewer and embed pages.
3. What you may not upload
- Anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Personal data about other people that you have no right to publish, including screenshots showing customer records.
- Credentials, API keys, tokens or other secrets. Published demos are public.
- Malware, phishing pages, or demos designed to impersonate another company or product in order to deceive.
- Sexual content involving minors, content that promotes violence or hatred against a group, or harassment of an individual.
- Spam, link farming, or bulk automated publishing.
4. We may remove demos
We may remove any demo, block any address from publishing, or take the whole service down, at any time and without notice. We are most likely to do that for the things listed in section 3, for abuse of the publishing limits, or on receipt of a credible complaint. Reports go to dylandirectories11@gmail.com and every viewer page carries a report link.
5. Your edit link is your only key
There are no accounts. The private edit link shown once at publish time is the only way to change or delete your demo. Anyone who has that link can change or delete the demo, so treat it like a password. We cannot recover it, and we are not responsible for changes made by someone you shared it with.
6. Limits
A demo may have at most 12 steps, each screenshot at most 1.5 MB after the browser resizes it, and 15 MB in total. Publishing is rate limited per network address. These limits may change without notice.
7. No warranty
novrl is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement. Your content may be lost. Keep your own copies of your screenshots.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, novrl and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, lost demos or business interruption, arising out of your use of the service. Because novrl is free, total liability for any claim is limited to zero.
9. Indemnity
You agree to cover novrl and its operator against claims and costs arising from content you published or from your misuse of the service.
10. Retention changes
Demos have no expiry date today. If an automatic retention period is ever introduced, at least 30 days notice will be given on the privacy page before anything is deleted.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The date at the top of the page changes with them, and using novrl afterwards means you accept the new version.
